Have you returned your Crofting Census form yet?

If the answer is "No" then you may be one of the crofters who gets a phone call next week from a member of our staff or one of our local Assessors to ask why you have not made a return yet.
Starting on 1 March we are going to conduct a pilot survey of approximately 50 crofters who our records show didn’t return a Census form last year, and so far, have not made a return this year. The crofters have been chosen at random. Remember, there is a legal requirement to complete your Census return, and the deadline for completing and returning the 2020 Census is 31 March 2021. So only 4 weeks till the deadline.
Don't forget it only takes 5 minutes to complete online via our website (www.crofting.scotland.gov.uk), if you have your code number to hand from your covering letter. If you have any queries, or have lost your online code, please get in touch at census@crofting.gov.scot.
