Are you living on or near your croft?

  • Cultivate and maintain the croft
  • Not to misuse or neglect the croft

Tenant crofters can transfer their croft tenancy to another person with our consent:

Giving up your croft but keeping your house and garden

Tenant crofters, owner occupiers, and landlords of a vacant or part-vacant croft can apply to take an existing house site and garden out of crofting tenure:

My relative has died and the croft has passed to me in their will, but letters keep coming in their name

You are legally obliged to tell us about the death of a crofter.
