Request for the following information 1 - how many crofts have been seized in Erisay, South Uist and Barra in the last 2 years? 2 - how many request/enquiries have been made about vacant or seized crofts in those areas in the last 2 years? 3 - how many enquiries have been made in relation to crofts 2 Huan, Eriskay and 12 Acarsaid, Eriskay and the dates of those enquiries? 4 - how many crofts in those areas have been reallocated and to whom in the last 5 years?

Response

On the assumption that "seized" refers to croft tenancies which have been terminated by the Commission in those areas in the last 2 years. The following information was issued. One croft tenancy in Barra has been terminated. Two people in Barra have expressed an interest in croft tenancies. No written expressions of interest have been made in respect of crofts 2 Haun and 12 Acarsaid Mhor. A list of non-resident crofters, in those areas, who assigned their crofts to individuals in the last 5 years was issued.
