Information requested
You helpfully clarified that "vacant croft" does not mean physically empty, under the terms of crofting legislation. Can I therefore ask how many crofts Shetland, Orkney, Western Isles and Highland were, indeed, empty?

Thank you for your recent request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. The Commission is unable to quantify if any of the vacant crofts (as defined under crofting legislation) in Shetland, Orkney, Western Isles and Highland areas are indeed ‘empty’.
