Information requested
Request for information on the whereabouts of the Crofters Holdings Books which were formerly kept in the Sheriff Clerks office.
Response
This information is not held by the Crofting Commission. Although originally kept the Sheriff Clerks office and latterly by Principal Clerk of the Land Court from 1955 onwards, however the requirement for the Land Court to update these books was removed in 2007. You may therefore wish to contact the Principal Clerk of the Scottish Land Court who may be able to help you further.
