Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Information requested
Request for a copy of the Board paper which discussed the role of assessors as policy in development and the reason why it has been deemed appropriate to refuse the initial request for this paper.
Response
We do endeavour to provide information whenever possible. However, in this instance an exemption under Section 29(1)(a) of the Act applies to all of the information requested. The exemption covers the formulation or development of Scottish Government policy (and by extension that of Government agencies and NDPB’s under a Memorandum of Understanding), which the paper you have requested represents.
